Custodio R. Borgueta, MD

Custodio R. Borgueta, MD Dr. Borgueta graduated medical school at the University of the East, Philippines in 1975 and remained in the Philippines to do his internship at the Veterans Memorial Hospital.  He completed his residency in 1983 at Yale University Hospital in New Haven, CT.

After completing his residency he moved to Newburgh and joined Dr. Chung in private practice. Since then he has maintained his affiliation with St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.  He is also one of the original partners of Women’s Medical Care of Hudson Valley, P.C.

While his first love is obstetrics, he is just as passionate about his office gynecology and providing patients with the many gynecologic techniques available today.  Dr. Borgueta’s primary commitment is to provide the most current and complete health care to his patients while educating them regarding women’s health care issues.  He firmly believes that an informed patient is a healthier patient and feels strongly that in the midst of all the technology and medical advancement now available, physicians should never forget that behind that patient with a medical problem, is a person.

Dr. Borgueta believes that modern medicine ought to be given the old fashioned way - with honesty, compassion and a little sense of humor.  When he is not practicing medicine he enjoys working on his computer and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
